The Compassionate Clown Company was formed out of Vanessa's love for children, the animals, and the environment which is why we offer parents the CHOICE of which face paint they would like us to use. In our efforts to support the environment, we offer the use of an Eco-Friendly alternative, which is: LEAD FREE, HYPO ALLERGENIC, BISMUTH FREE, DYE FREE, PETROLEUM FREE, NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS & made in the USA. This alternative is safe for the skin, and made from vegetarian ingredients. We also have vegan powder paints that are completely vegan which we can use if requested. Although they are eco-friendly, they do not stay on the skin as long as some of the other commerical face paints on the market, but do make for a great Eco-friendly alternative :)
The other option is to use our cosmetic grade Snazaroo (not tested on animals) and Diamond FX paints which are used by most professional face painters. These paints will stay longer on the skin and will not smear.
